Measure your progress,
don't guess it.

In detail

Improving at chess requires measuring, not just feeling. The Elo rating tells you whether you won or lost; it never tells you why. Between two tournaments, it is almost impossible to know whether the work you put in had an effect, or on what exactly.

NotiChess turns every recorded game into usable data: detection of tactics seen and missed, strategic analysis by phase of the game (opening, middlegame, endgame) and a measure of resistance to pressure in fast games, when time becomes a factor. All of these measures are tracked over time, week after week, month after month, year after year.

You then see things no rating shows: that your middlegame has clearly improved while your endgames stagnate, that your accuracy drops systematically after the 30th move, or that a tactical theme worked on two months ago has indeed disappeared from your mistakes.

The Elo rating never tells you why.

The difference from a simple exercise counter is decisive: here, the statistics are about your real games, those played in tournaments or online, thanks to direct synchronization with your Chess.com and Lichess accounts. Your games are retrieved automatically and analyzed without your having to export or import anything. A good score on exercises proves nothing; an improvement measured on your real games does.

NotiChess also clearly distinguishes the two, with separate statistics for training and for real play. You thus know whether your progress in training actually translates over the board.
